I'm so sad tonight.
One of the most famous french monument is burning in Paris.
Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral is the most visited European monument. A fire is going to destroy everything. This building is our heart. our soul, our History.
It reminds us we are nothing. We can built everything, the biggest, the tallest, the most beautiful monuments, all will be dust one day.
My heart is crying
My soul is empty
My History is going up in smoke.

That was hard seeing the coverage of the fire... heartbreaking that such a monument could be destroyed. I do hope they try and restore it.

Now that the shock is over, the amount of what was saved and the dedication to rebuild has to inspire some hope. As with so many things that are in our "backyard" that we never take the time to see, I hope that you had seen it in happier days. Stay strong.
