kurosawa's ran is my favorite of his. that scene is great, the knifepoint sex stuff. such a heartfelt film. never knew about kurosawa till i met hubby. or john woo. hardboiled is one of my favorites of all time. it's like ballet with guns. the opening scene in the teahouse is SO beautiful!
