Life is coming along.

Got a 4.0 in grad school so far, after two semesters.

Applied for two jobs: one at the East Baton Rouge public library system and another to process and restore photos damaged in Katrina for LSU libraries

Been dating a hot library student chick for a few months now, having fun and whatnot (yes library chicks can be hot and party...

How are you doing?

M & G and I are all okay. I gave them shelter from the storm and they gave me good company and great cooking. So that's a fair trade. We went five days without power but that beats being under ten feet of water anyday. Thanks for your concern. Hopefully M & G can return to their home soon...

yes, Rita just cut our power and internet but we got that back within two days. M & G are both fine, and their house amazingly is undamaged. Miracles really can happen...

It's official. I'm going back to school June 13.

I haven't sat in a classroom in a long time and I really don't even know what to expect from grad school. I enjoy the sense of breaking into something new and at the same time am a little anxious. I think information management and technology are areas that we can certainly concentrate on to improve...

Las Vegas is long gone, Mardi Gras in New Orleans has just passed, and here I find myself in Arizona, immersing myself in the culture of the great American Southwest (that, and visitng my folks out here).

I have seen little of Oceanside in the past month, which is a good thing, let me tell you. NEVER MOVE THERE, PEOPLE. It's boring suburbia. And not...

Holy crap, are you really studying library science? I hear there's huge demand for people with that background since only a couple collages offer that degree anymore.

Prom?

so it's 2005. where's the future?

where are bubble cars, teleporters, jet packs, mutants, laser cannons, giant robots, invisible cloaks, whole meals in a tiny pill, alien invaders, electro-sleep muscle stimulation, flying personal vehicles, cloning, cyborg technology, space colonies, superheroes, and my favorite: world peace?

i think we're being gyped.
