Things I learnt in 2007
Chris Rock was right; men are only as faithful as their options.
Nothing is as it seems.
Trust no one but yourself.
Really, trust yourself.
Money means fuck all when you have no one to share it with.
Some people will be there for you no matter what happens.
What I hope for 2008
It will be a SHIT load better than 2007!
Reconciliations
Successful and safe travel
Meet lots of new people
Decide what the fuck I want to do with my life and where I want to do it
New years eve was OK, went to a local pub with two of my oldest friends (we realised we had been friends for 10 years!). We also realised that another friend of ours from school died 10 years ago this year, we ended on a happier note by having a drink to her and each saying something for her.
Also found out last week that a friend from school who moved to Japan after uni to be a model has had to come home 'cos he needs a kidney transplant! Can't wait to see him again, it's been ages since he was last home, but wish it was under better circumstances. Am going to take him to Little Tokyo in Leeds so he can tell me if it's authentic
Thanks to everyone for the messages about my bunny, Duff seems to be doing ok on his own, being giving him a lot of attention and he seems to like having all the food to himself
i think he'll be ok for a while, or i hope he is! Think i might get him a guinea pig for company.
In better news, am going to the Bristol meet this weekend. Am so glad 'cos I reeeeeally need to get out this town right now. Am going a bit mental here at the minute, hopefully 2 nights of karaoke, drinking and good company should ease that slightly
Bit of trivial good news, bad news now
Good - I've started writing regularly again, and reading lots of Douglas Coupland.
Bad - my mother shrunk my 65 Paul Frank Skurvy PJ's that I have had for under a month!!!
Good - Bought a macbook so I can partake in my fave passtime of sitting in coffee shops and writing more efficiently, and can bluetooth stuff to and from my mac at home! Yes, I have turned into a geek!
Bad - Gingerbread will be out of season soon!
Good - Have discovered that I like Chia lattes even better than gingerbread ones!
Bad - I only have under 15 weeks to lose the weight I want to
Good - That means I have under 15 weeks till I'm in California!!!
Bad - I forgot to wear my glasses to work today and so have a weird spaced out headache
Good - For Christmas one of my friends downloaded me a load of stuff he knows I like in iPod format, it's ace! I have 4 discs of awesome stuff already and he says he's only half way through!
Bad - I'm not at all organised for any of my upcoming trips
Good - Die Hard just started, hell yes!
That's enough for now I think, I'll leave you with this just for randomness
PS... I really need to find time to update my pix on here, they're so old and also have the ex in them!
