So today I get up, all tired and grouchy because I did not get enough sleep. Then I happen to go out side and find that someone actually Stole our trash can we use for recycling. I was speechless at first, followed by a stream of bad language of course. But then, !?! A TRASH CAN, of all things, I couldn't believe it. I am...

Today I got up before the crack of dawn and did my cardio training.
Went to work. Had a super fun time typing all day with sore arms from last nights workout. But no big deal. A price I gladly pay to get back into shape. Though I am pretty sure that at some point, when better conditioned, I should not be getting...

I opted to do my bi-weekly check today instead of Saturday. I will be starting a new training routine Monday and want to give my body Two days to rest instead of One because I still tend to get a little sore after I push through my exercises. Anyhow here it is.

I good way to get good at pushups is to use a swiss ball start with close to your stomach than move it down your legs as your arms get stronger, that way you're not stressing your legs and back while you wait for your arms to get stronger.
I hate them because I have do them on my knuckles and as soon as I get good at that with just one arm.

Off to the library tonight.
Totally stocked up on tea this weekend. Went to a food trade show this weekend with a friend that is a Chef and got all kinds of free samples. Great stuff! Think I have enough to last me a month or so.
I love this time of year. The days are getting longer. Spring starts tomorrow. Love it!

Chi Running is by Danny Dreyer and Katherine Dreyer. They also have a book chi walking, and I believe there is a chi running dvd.
they also have a website chirunning.com
It's pretty good-
it's the sort of stuff that takes a long time to really process and to integrate into running....like tai chi harder than it seems
I had forgotten how cool tai chi is before picking up this book, i did some in college like 10 years ago, and it was like just seeing the tip of the iceberg and knowing there is a whole lot more beneath the surface.
I'm trying to work on this idea of effortlessness now.
it's been very helpful cause ive realized I have all this baggaga about running where I think it is by definition traumatic, maybe like banging your head against a wall....but it doesn't have to be like that at all.
anyway...long comment!
so yes! I recomend it!

Awesome! Thank you. I will definitely be reading this one. I have never done Tai Chi but in Hapkido we use Tan Jun Breathing to develop Ki. Ki is the same as Chi, just Korean as opposed to Chinese. I am going to start running again in the near future so this books sounds perfect. Can't wait to read it.
People are responsible for the choices they make no matter how they feel when they make those choices. I can't stand it when people don't take responsibility for their own actions.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!!
Time to eat some corned beef, cabbage and black eyed peas while watching Boondock Saints.
