HEY! anyone selling a house around charlotte/huntersville?
i've decided that i'm finished with rent. it's really useless when a mortgage payment is less than rent would be on a house. i'm 22. for me that's high time to be out of apartments and roommate situations.
i want a cute little house with wood floors and a fireplace.
i've looked at some previously...there are a LOT of foreclosures on nice ass places under $110,000 .
i don't know how to go about it though...none of the realtor sites list foreclosures and none of the foreclosure sites are free.
i figure i'll make a $15,000 down payment, maybe more if i can get it by the time i want the house. my only debt is student loans with low monthly payments i have to start making in 8 months (about $15,000...i got a LOT of scholarships) so it's not going to be hard to get up a good sized down payment.
i guess once i have my down payment all i have to do is call some house person and be like "yo i want your house!" and then talk to the bank about a loan? orr....do i talk to the bank first? wtf man.

Having gone through this myself (a very good experience) with our house, and several friends, I do have some info on the process, so feel free to ask.
Oh, and it was great to meet you on Saturday.
