Time for an update:
Yesterday, I discovered my talent of immobilizing cats. My roommate had the vet come to check up her 5 kitties. One of them needed some blood work done, so she tried to shave his neck in preparation. That didn't go very well, though. As soon as he heard the razor, he freaked out and we couldn't hold him. Each of us got at least one scratch, and I even had to put a band aid on for a short time to keep me from bleeding on everyone's fur.
So the vet decided to skip the shaving, but we still had to hold him tight so she could get blood from his neck. So my roommate held his back and I got his front legs with one hand and his head (with a muzzle) with the other.
Another of her cats used to be he stray, so although he didn't need any particularly frightening treatment, again we needed to make sure to hold him well so he couldn't escape.
I guess anyone who ever had cats has experienced something like that, but for me it was new and somehow weird. Well, the kitties fine and none of them seems to hate me now. So it's all well, I guess.
On a different note, I promised to show some pictures of the model I am working on. So here she is:
And this is what she looks like in my "shop":
She still needs skin, hair, teeth, lashes and many more things. I guess I will spend at least another 6 months until she is ready to have her own set.
Making her is a lot of fun, but sometimes I just need a break.
Oh, and I have made a folder for her with some additional pictures.
