These are the current contents of my fridge:

- a tin of dry yeast

- a near-empty bottle of cordial

- a carton of milk

- a small jar of capers

- a small jar of Dijon mustard

- a tray of ice cubes

Furthermore, the fruit bowl does not contain a single piece of fruit.

I think I may have to attempt a grocery...

I wanted to insist there was SOMETHING you could make with all those ingredients but... Nah, I'm at a total loss aha. Hope you get to the store :P

Well, I do also have flour, salt and oil, so if I wanted, I could bake some bread. But in fact I was just out and had lamb shanks followed by lemon meringue pie, and also procured coffee, wine and dark quinoa chocolate. So I think I can get away with procrastinating shopping until after the gym tomorrow morning. :-D

So, I'll keep posting Bowie songs, but clearly my attempt at doing it daily has run its course.

This is one of his beautiful classic songs that does not get mentioned much.

Today is the 14th of February, the day on which I traditionally (as of last year) celebrate non-romantic love, heroes who are also villains, and Angelina Jolie looking fabulous.

I have wine, I have cheese and crackers, I have tissues, and I have Netflix. The Maleficent Day celebrations are ready to commence.

Sounds like a solid plan

This morning I made the mistake of reading a V-Day themed post on the A.V. Club which disabused me of the pleasant illusion that no one in their right mind would ever ship Watson and Holmes on Elementary. Please, that's ridiculous. Their names are not Harry Holmes and Sally Watson.

chefdaddy:
I admittedly had do look up that usage of the word  ship. Now I totally agree.
elizathetroll:
@chefdaddy Ha, my knowledge of popular jargon is weeks ahead of yours. :-)

Haha yes "occasional Bowie" sounds less like an obligation and more like a nice reminder.  I think it speaks loudly of your own appreciation of him that you were able to keep this up for that long.  I find it an honest gesture, that I definitely enjoy.  And yes I've been completely out of it since I started my internship.  And unfortunately I'm far from being done.  But you make me want to come back more often. :)
elizathetroll:
Aww @pumpkin, you sure know how to make a little troll feel special. :) Yeah, Bowie is pretty phenomenal. He's been active for so many years, and always managed to stay fresh and creative.

Here's a song that didn't quite make it onto the original release of Hunky Dory.

"Think we're in for a big surprise right between the eyes."

So, I've dropped the ball and missed a couple of days. I thought that maybe that's a sign that this daily Bowie business has run its course, but on the other hand, there is so much more awesome to post, and besides, my current play list is still all Bowie, all day.

Here's the first track from Reality, the phenomenal 2003 album that for a...
