I've had this journal for a while, I guess now is a good of a time as any to start using it.
I just finished reading Hunter S. Thompson's latest book "Kingdom of Fear" and it was great. The visual imagery you get from his writing is what makes him a favorite author of mine. He always has great quotes and this book has plenty. He is so off the wall that some things he writes about in this book I am unsure if they really happened to him or if they are descriptions of his hallucinations.
If you are looking for a good read, it's not his greatest work, but it does keep you interested until the end.

hey no problem- I have yet to hear that EP you mentioned, although I'm a fan of Harkonen as well. So I'd expect it to be really good considering I've heard most of These Arms Are Snakes new stuff, and it rules. I hear they're playing Bumbershoot- but I don't know which day. Check that out if you're interested, I'm going to try to make it.

YOU'VE NEVER SEEN THESE ARMS ARE SNAKES LIVE!!!! Sorry. That's most of their appeal for me. Don't get me wrong, their music is amazing, but they're one of the best, if not the best bands I've seen live. They are so energetic and spastic on stage. The last show I saw, Steve (singer) climbed all the way up a pole and tied a noose to put his head in out of rope hanging at the top of the venue. Definately check them out if you have the chance. I don't know how Bumbershoot will be for a performance like that though. We'll see. Have you heard any of their new stuff? I did a while back at a show, it rocked.
