Half indulged in the book you suggested(Jesus' Son). I like it so far. I've seen the movie already but reading it is much more engrossing. Anyway, These arms are snakes are playing Bumbershoot on Sunday Sept. 5th. I usually make it out to Bumbershoot if I'm in town. I've never seen them live so if I'm here I'll try to check it out.
I haven't heard any of TAAS new stuff. I have the Ep I mentioned with harkonen and the "This is meant to hurt you" CD. I'm sure they are better to see in a small club rather than at bumbershoot depending on what venue they play. I went last year and for the first time I was unable to see a couple shows because it was so crowded they wouldn't let people in. I want to go see Built to Spill and the pixies on Monday night but it is so much better to see shows in a smaller venue than outside at memorial stadium.
