I was reading a book by Storm Constantine called Stalking Tender Prey. It's about a tall, beautiful race of beings called The Grigori. Although they are not exactly vampires, they do drink the blood of the host families that protect them in hiding from the mass population of people. In exchange, they enlighten humans with advances in art, theater, music, ect.
