the thing that impresses me the most about this whole internet thing, and i guess especially this site, is that people really don't seem to be afraid to share their thoughts and feelings and day-to-day experiences with people they never (or rarely) see and most likely don't know other than through this site. i have enough trouble sharing all that shit with my actual physical friends. incredible. i guess it's either very brave or very naive or maybe those are the same things.

there's something kinda cathartic about it, isn't there? you just confessed that you don't share your day to day thoughts with your friends, and you could tell whoever that, right? it's like a free shrink, but you have to do the dirty work yourself. reflecting is a lot of fun in these diaries. and i guess it builds relationships with people that normally you wouldn't get to know, by being able to tell them just about anything. if they don't like it, who cares. it can't impact your life like your real friends can. if they agree with you, your feelings are validated and you give yourself more credit for the way you feel.
anyway, something like that. i like it.
