Yaaay, More rain. It was a perfect day for the restorative yoga classes I taught. I could have used a nap by the fireplace. I'll say it again, I love the smell of rain in the desert.

A couple days in bed and I'm almost as good as new. Could have enjoyed my days off a little better but it was way better than being sick at work.

Hey thanks, The lasik went well I had the surgery at 2:00 pm and I can already see really well. I have heard about the bill wilson book. Think its worth picking up? I do the same thing with books I started One breath and found Dharma punx and switched. Then I started the art of seeing but gave up on it for the buddhist handbook.
Any ways I prevailed in my work situation. The journeymen that I was working with decided that they had to speak up too and now the project has been stopped and engineers have been called in to assess the problems. wink

yeah I should shower soon! tongue

When I got off from work Saturdy ... well it might be spelled incorrect but I think you get the day smile .... anyway I went on a sleep-a-thon too. Sure felt good this morning. Maybe you need an Oral Roberts.

Last concert I went to they let you in the casino if you had a wristband on...which is good cuz it was REALLY sad being piss drunk and trying to find my car from the wrong side of the parking garage after that hike around the building.

In an update though....HOB.com was nice enough to send me my authorization for the concert on saturday...AT 5:01PM last nite. Good to know I can go now.

Fuck HOB up the stupid ass

It rained most of the day. It was beautiful. Rain in the desert is my favorite smell. (wet creosote). TOo bad I was stuck indoors most of the day. My resturant was leaking like a sieve and we just had a new roof put on last month. Bah. eeek

It seems like there is death all around me lately. I buried a friend yesterday, then went to a beside vigil for my wifes grandmother and I'm expecting a call any minute from my mother about her husband dying. whew. frown

Aw man, that friggin sucks. Sorry to hear about all this. frown Hopefully there's something decent going on as well, but if not there will be eventually I'm sure. I'm sure you don't need me to say it, but being a comforting husband & son is worth an awful lot, just do what you can for 'em. I like that quote a whole bunch, very true indeed. I do believe that all in all the good & constructive outweigh the bad & destructive, which is a very handy thing to believe true or not. smile

what the hell do you do in this town

A friend of mine died from drinking a couple of days ago. I'm actually suprised that this hasn't happened to more of my friends. Not that I want it to. It's just the kind of people I know. frown

Yea, but for the grace of god go we. Take care today.

My condolences, I get these daily wisdoms and they always seem to help me. I hope these words are helpful to you.

In autumn, one leaf falls, then another, then all the beautiful flowers die until we are surrounded by bare naked plants. We do not feel so joyful. Why is this? Because deep down, we desire constructive, fruitful growth and dislike things collapsing, dying, or being destroyed.

I actually worked both days this weekend, so I didn't even go walk around over there. How's the no caffiene going? Life couldn't possibly be better without it, could it? I'm curious to hear if you feel any different (like a higher energy level maybe?) cause I drink so much of that stuff. Today is day 9 with no smokes for me!!
jim4nofx:
thanks for the b-day wishes man! smile

I'm gonna try to detox off caffiene the next couple of days. Might not make it if the headaches get too bad. Wish me luck. puke
