i am back. My computer now lives in a different case, but it has enough memory to remember every grudge and slight against it, ever.

Update: GAH!! MY USB PORTS NO LONGER WORK!! NO IPOD CLONE UPDATING!! NO DIGITAL CAMERA PICS!! NO JOYSTICKS!! This will not stand.

Cool! Well in that case I think we should do a mp3 swap. We should load a disk with mp3's and send to each other what do ya think?
The only thing is I dunno what you like have got. I will go home and do list of what I have and show you. I have heaps.
Do you wanna do that? Im dying for new music!! I am too poor to buy it.
dylan:
Haha, I like the way you think. If I was able to afford another place, I'd be implementing your plan right now.

Believe it or not, the best album of 2005 is by Cindy Lauper. You heard it here first.

I have an 80 GB hard drive sitting around that I want in my computer, but there aren't enough bays in my tower to put it in. So I may take it to the computer hospital and be away for a couple of days.

I heart Richard Simmons interviews. He always finds something completely bizarre to say, and he always delivers it with such... such... weird self-parodying earnestness. I am still not sure whether he knows how ridiculous he is and overplays the schtick on purpose or secretly thinks he's kind of cool.

It is lee-ahn-tay, accent on the second syllable. Unless some Tolkien nut wants to tell me otherwise, in which case I will have no option but to turn a firehose on the dude. tongue

I just bought Aerial by Kate Bush, Sounding a Mosaic by Bedouin Soundclash, That Night in Toronto by the Tragically Hip, The Concert in Central Park by Simon & Garfunkel, and Must I Paint You a Picture by Billy Bragg. I am at a loss what to listen to first.

I think that will pretty much fill up my ipod clone, too. If five years...

I briefly considered going into IP law -- specifically, patents -- but it would have been too much a hassle based on where I am now. I'd have to go back to school for a science degree. Since I've been in school nonstop for about twenty years now, I'll give that a pass. Criminal work is more entertaining.

A short informational post to clear up common misconceptions would be a good idea... but you'd also be banking on people reading reference materials, which is never a sure bet. Especially when they can get into witless screaming matches instead.

I am back. That was the craziest illness ever. It was like having the flu, but the biggest symptom was dizziness not the queasy stomach. Since Monday mostly I've just been lying on my side trying not to stand up. But I am feeling a bit better now and will probably be at work on Monday.

I will soon upload some Halloween pictures.

it is hallowe'en and I am preparing my costume. I will be Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Hopefully there will be pictures.

Before I go on, there are some new people on my friends list. They should know that normally I am totally hep and even keeled and nothing fazes me. Cool yet personable, with a side order of light snarkiness. There's some emo...

Your twenty were some of the best I've seen. Between you and ShaunoftheDead I was highly entertained.

And yes... it's probably who you thought it was. Not only was he extremely rude but frankly the things he wrote in my journal made my skin crawl. To think that people actually believe that kind of tripe makes me sick.

_sarah_:
I want to see pictures of you as Spike. love

Do you have paralegals/legal assistants in Canada?

I'm, seriously, thinking of moving to Ontario someday and have been for a while, but I suspect I may have to go back to school to learn Canadian law and contracts. Bleh. tongue

Gadzooks! I've been tapped! Twenty things you may not have known about Dholokhov:

1. Despite the fact that a Special Commission found that he bore no legal or moral liability for the failure of the Maginot line, confidants say he took the matter extremely personally and has regretted it ever since.

2. Dholokov was invited to the Fourth Lateran Council, where he argued vehemently against...

At work they used to have orange plastic mats over the apertures in the mens urinals, but now they've been changed to blue. I don't much envy the people who have to make and execute that decision.

Nothing much else has been going on.
