I failed myself. Went to the bar and drank. Not excessively, and I stuck to beer instead of bourbon, but all in all, I basically suck for having 0 willpower. On the bright side, I had a pretty decent time. Here is me at IHOP afterwards:
Saturday I went shopping and got an mp3 player, which I am fiddling with even as we speak. I have a feeling I will end up buying one with more memory, I just didn't want to get one when I didn't know how much I was going to use it. Now, I am having a hard time limiting myself to around 250 songs. The salesman talked me out of buying an ipod, and I am pretty glad he did. I like mine, can pull the music off of my Windows Media Player, and I already have a bunch of great playlists made up.
All in all, a fun, if rather non-eventful weekend. Talked to my husband quite a bit online and that was nice. This deployment has been rough as hell, and it is really taking a toll on both of us. Sometimes I tend to be self-centered and I forget that being away from home is as hard on him as it is on me. I'm just so used to him being strong and capable that I end up forgetting that he has bad days too.

Even though it is a good song, it is a sad one. I think about our troops a lot. No matter what anyone's opinion about world events are, they are for the most part good men and women, and deserve a lot of respect.
