Vegas was crowded and not nearly as cool as I had built it up in my mind to be. There were fireworks for the New Year and the 100 year anniversary of Vegas, but they didn't hold a candle to the old Macys fireworks I'm used to back in NYC.

The one really cool thing we got to do was go up to the top of the Stratosphere and ride the rides. I have a friend that works for the casino and took us up top for free. No lines at all and nice and terrifying.

Thanks so much for the kind words. The real sad thing is that the week before the stroke he had hip replacement surgery. It's just too much all at once. I'm not sure how much fight he has left in him. My grandmother who is around the same age sprung back almost immediately from a rather bad stroke. Even the doctors were amazed. I hoping for the best though.

well my parents are back--watched the new O.C. episode. watched a clockwork orange last night out of curiosity. interesting movie, not really what i expected.

I paint in acrylics. But I was recently approached about turning them into prints. I haven't sold that many and I've never done a show. I would LOVE to someday but I don't know how to go about it. Most of the work I have on here is 16"x22" and the few pieces I have sold went for $100-$125 range. I'm not sure what the going rate for art is but I do know that I really enjoy making them. I need to talk to someone who knows more about it. Advice is appreciated.

As for the car... I figure what the heck, I live in LA, why not get a convertible. Miata's are pretty much what's in my price range right now as I'm poor. But I think one would make it up to SF.
