Do you ever feel like if one little thing gets out that all of a sudden it will start an avalanche, the end result being your life turned into an episode of The O.C.? These sorts of thoughts always occur to me right around the holiday seasonit must have to do with being around my family. Unfortunately in this scenario I would end up playing the role of Sethoh well, I guess it could be worse.
Actually, the holiday spirit is slowly starting to consume me, I have been seeing and talking with various friends over the last couple of days, and that has definitely put my more in the seasonal mood. Not to mention the decorating of the house, and the trimming of the tree. Once my own home starts to feel like X-mas, I cant help but get into the swing of things. Also, some of the premature gift exchanges have helped a lot as well. However, the last couple of days have proved a bit overwhelming what with the holiday party at a friends house on Sunday, the holiday (cocktail) party that we threw at my house on Monday, my Mothers birthday dinner on Tuesday, and last nights gaming session with the boys (also the arrival of some surprise [due to our forgetfulness] guests who spent the night]) all seem to be adding up. Top this off with my family arriving in about two hours for a three day visit, and I cant help but wonder if I am going to be able to survive the holiday seasonI havent even had the guts to look as far ahead as New Years.
And to make it all more worse, my libido got seriously jump started after seeing this movie last Saturday, the actress pictured second in from the right is mainly to blame, but the entire movie kicked ass, although not recommended for even the most slightly prudish of viewers.
In only slightly related news, I received to great calls this morning. One was my good friend and current GM inviting me to take a film class with him in January at the local community college. The focus of the film is the modern horror filmI of course said yes. The other call was from my (ex) step-dad, he was calling from Baja to wish me luck with the impending invasion of my family. Unfortunately we got cut off, but it was still great to hear from himI havent seen him in about 6 weeks, and it will be another 3 months or so until I do.
In other news, I am finding myself getting slowly attached to life back up here, connecting with some old friends, and meeting some really cool new people. I have even some how managed to get roped into directing the local high schools Spring theatre productiondont ask how I agreed to this, it involves a former teacher/director of mine, an a bottle of single malt. Also, since I have last updated, I managed to take the LSat and do surprisingly well, so Law School is still on the horizon for me.

The one really cool thing we got to do was go up to the top of the Stratosphere and ride the rides. I have a friend that works for the casino and took us up top for free. No lines at all and nice and terrifying.
