During my medieval art history program I'd drag myself to class with a box of tissues in a dilapidted state of mind, just begging to learn more. I remember on the worst day when I was reading and discussing about how goth really began. Now I wouldn't go if you paid me.
In the dark ages saints figured the best way into heaven was to be as miserable as possible.
They'd cut off their limbs for little or no reason, sacrifice them to God, they would put phlegm in their tea and kiss lepers constantly.
