So I wrote another long-ass entry about mandolin playing and it all got erased when I pressed the wrong button.

fuck.

oh well.

so I guess I'll get right back to the point:

in yesterday's entry I said I didn't know what the next step was. but in fact I really do. Its obvious.

before I can record and before I can play at real gigs I need to get more comfortable playing in front of people.

I need to start playing on the streets. find a little corner in one of the many tourist areas around me and set out a little hat and just start playing. and I need to do it as much as possible until it starts raining again.

so yeah.

I hereby declare the season for public mandolin performances open.

I think I'm gonna set a goal--modest at first--to play in public for at least 6 hours every week in the months of june and july.

sometime I'll let youi know where and when and you all can come by and drop a quarter in my mando case.
