Since getting some news about my blood pressure I didn't like, I had to pump up the activity. A LOT. I'm running in a way I haven't since I was on cross-country in high school. I don't love it, but it has become part of my routine. And we old guys like our routine... whatever

Eliminate the writ of habeus corpus, so the president can torture people who have no ability to see what they're accused of or on what grounds, and no recourse to any part of the judicial system. That's the Senate "compromise" on detainees amounts to. What part of this is a compromise for the president, again?

Is there anything this fucking guy WON'T do to destroy...

So, on the 5th Anniversary of th 9/11 attacks, more American soldiers have died in Iraq than in those attacks. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 150,000 Iraqi civilians have died. The Senate, after delaying an investigation and report on the misuse of intelligence to justify the War on Iraq, finally had to say they'd determined long ago that there were no Hussein-Al Quaeda links, and...

OMG.

Ned Lamont brought it. But good.
One small step for progressives, maybe on giant leap for America-kind?

And I hate to say it, but Joe has again become Sore Loserman. Joe, you lost. Sit down. You're done.

If you want to help the other team, you don't get to wear our colors.

And now I'm home, really for the first time in 3 weeks. All the animals are still alive, despite the apparent repeated escapes of the canines. So now this summer becomes, like last, a game of:

HOW DO I KEEP THE DOGS IN THE YARD????!!!
kriss:

Awwwwwww! YOU'RE SO LUCKY. I'M SALIVATING. We had an egyptian exhibit a few years ago and I was so excited. Sadly they didn't even have a single mummy. The exhibit was very nice and informative and I really enjoyed it, but I wanted to see a mummy, damnit!. Or at least something other than pottery and hieroglyphics.. Did you enjoy yourself?
