This honestly sounds pretty interesting, even though I think that the zombie theme is a little overused. Don't get me wrong, I love zombies, but they're friggin' everywhere! But as far as I understood, the story is not centered on zombies but on Steven and the question whether he's been in an zombie apocalypse or been in coma for the past few years. Looks like you are quite well equipped for a "just-in-case-that"-scenario. It's always a good idea to be prepared. I don't have a pack like yours, but I collected some stuff over the past few years which is placed all over my appartment and can be collected in around 15 minutes. I added some water purification tabs (although I'm a little skeptic about those), a compact water filter and a small and light (easy to carry) tent. No katana (I have one, but it's not usable) but a machete and a tomahawk by Walther, can opener, a knife (Walther again), mess kit, fire steel....and so on, and so forth. :)
I've been living in my apartment now for about two months and things are so far going well. My room mate and I don't see each other too much but when we do we have little trouble getting along. Sounds like you are getting some kind of "settled and content", if you know what I mean. That's a good thing, especially when reading the rest of your blog. You seem much more....positive. :) I played The Vanishing of Ethan Carter for a few hours but stopped for I have the feeling that this game requires my full attention instead of playing it besides two or three other games. It's not only visually stunning but also has a great and unique atmosphere. I think I'll give it another try soon. :)

I'm starting to feel like myself again, the man who realized just how ridiculous and enchanting the world can be rather than focus on the inevitable bad. Ethan Carter is an awesome game and I'd recommend it. You are right though, the intriguing journey it will take you on will require your full attention. It might be a short game too but I guarantee that once you put in the time you won't soon forget the experience.

"The Walking Dead" got me hooked immediately with the first episode of season one, and the fascination for this game continued with season two. It's clearly a masterpiece, all the more considering the relatively low budget Telltale Games had at their disposal. I really love it and can't wait for season three to be released! :) I can also recommend "The Wolf among us", another Telltale Games production, which is in many points very similar to "The Walking Dead", but is based on fantastic comic book series "Fables" and has it's own dark and gritty atmosphere and excellent storytelling. :)
