You know....
my journal entries have been SOOOOOO
somber and sad lately;
With good reason of course.
The Wisdom I've gained from my Shaolin master and Taoist philosophy in general reminds me that there needs to be a balance in all things, all perspectives.
I bet I've really brought some of you the Blues lately with all
that's been going on with the slow whithering away of my beloved Hero, my step-dad.
Well, this post is gonna strike a lil bit of a balance with all
that!!!
Sure things look bleak for my Pops....
he still smiles and grins that charming grin when he can..
I forget to mention the great soothing Spirit my dad has...
the way he can make friends with Man or Beast in moments!
He has all the nursing staff won over and they constantly check in on him..
The Doctors all seem to love his fishin' stories,
his beguiling way of talking politics, and they all seem to
want to just give him warm hugs when they leave...
He worries about my own worsening condition,
he knows I'm ripped up inside, sleepless,
delerious, and in shock.
He uses valuable energy he needs to recover for my own comfort.
So I'm pullin' myself out of the deep hole of hell I feel I'm in lately.
I still smile proudly when I think of all the time I've been blessed with knowing this Great, Great Man!!!
I also have SO MANY of you here to thank for that!!!
Yeah I get 3 or 4 pages of sweet thoughts and sincere support from my beloved peers on my other online endeavor-m-space
(I actually knew many of you on there far before I did here!)
But the effort and concern shown by all of you here
in this close knit SG community for me and most especially my Father....
well, it's really helped more than you'll ever know!!!

to give back just a smidge of the love shown me...
I'm gonna break a silly rule I made when I first got wired on the "intraweb"!!!!
I'm gonna do somethingf I SWORE I would never do EVER!!!
You see, I'm not so well versed in Leet-speak..
I despise the L-Oh-L and all those other shorcuts..
(notice i didn't even type it right?!?!)
Hell ha ha is hard enough for me to type!
Many of you have met me so you know laughter comes easy for me..
You know what I sound like since i seem to be always happy!
anyways...
I also promised myself to NEVER,
NEVER use an emoticon...
It goes against deeply held marxist principles for me or something wacky like that..
It's the same anarchist eccentricities that inspires pride in me that I can still claim to have NEVER seen :
E.T., Top Gun, or any Adam Sandler movie
(except that masterpiece of Sandler-persona parody:
Punch Drunk Love!)
But for all my dear SG peers on here..
Well those "smilies" sure seem de riguer!!!
They are used in so many ways...
I've found you can't really express well without 'em.

But it is a MAJOR thang for me....
