Ugh. At 8:30a i have to deliver a presentation. It is not really close to done. It takes me 1.5 hrs to get to work. So that gives me 4 hrs to finish, shower and get going.

I’m getting tired of this job i will say. I am giving it way more effort than maybe it is due. The company that hired...

This sounds absolutely horrible, man... I don't miss at all working in Manhattan, making more money than I probably ever will again, and just feeling stressed and trapped all the time.. :-( I wish there were a happy medium I could find, but everything seems set up to make you miserable and financially stable, or free but homeless, dirty, and broke. Been trying to solve this conundrum for like 15 years :-/

Check out the lyrics to their top hit. Never knew what the hell they said in this one.

Feel good inc

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha, feel good
Shake it, shake it, shake it, feel good
Shake it, shake it, shake it, feel good
Shake it, shake it, shake it, feel good
Shake it, shake it, shake it, feel good
Shake it, shake it, shake it, feel good
Shake...

Thanks honey 💚 ❤️ 💙

No problem @miiel.  I was in mexico city a few years ago for a 7.1.  It was so scary and amazing.  Mexico city can tolerate great rollers they engineer so well there now in the city.  But the aftershock?  Straight up and down.  That is the worst.  I live near a fault line.  One time two small quakes happened, one shallow and one deep.  It was tiny, like 3.5 or 4.  But it literally felt like the hand of god came down, picked up my house and dropped it from half a meter up. A big crack in my house appeared, in the middle on both sides of the house.  Engineering doesn't help for that type of quake.

This is such a hard topic to me. The best part about sg to me, is we don't have to compare girls to each other. Yet there is competition. You ladies do a wonderful job supporting each other. As a male, i find males like to compare ourselves to peers in terms of financial and career success. So stupid, just a natural tendancy that...

Wow, thank you for all of this. Vulnerability is strength, and I am grateful for your wisdom. 💗 Happy belated birthday!! You did it--you kicked another year's ass! That's an accomplishment on this crazy planet. And my heart goes out to the sweet 11 year old who felt different and the strong man he became. Consciousness is key.
dansiego3:
Oh thank you sweety, @rosegold.  We all have perceived flaws, i have many limitations and it is only through struggles with negative self talk alot of drugs and therapy and some unique traumas i came to awareness of certain things in life.  I struggle with self esteem as a born perfectionist.  My wife has a cryptic allergy. Sometimes i think she’s allergic to me.  But mindfulness is a wonderful discovery.  Simple tricks of mind management can help anyone be free of their pain the brain often inflicts on us.  Mostly?  Just because the world has changed full of man’s creations and we need to constantly filter and bias just to try to stay sane and not overload with all the stimuli.  But i have learned if you teach it to people it helps release pain and allows joy to be felt under almost any circumstance if you practice it well.  One aspect of this new philosophy?  Comes from buddhism.  Try something simple.  Write in lipstick on your bathroom mirror three simple words.  “Are you sure?”  We are never sure.  There is no such thing as perfection.  We can only control our own behavior and sometimes not even that.  Future uncertain always.  Past punishes us with bad memories guilt and pain.  If you just focus on trying to do your best today.  No one can expect more of you, including our sometimes poisonous minds.  Self acceptance is a lifelong goal.  Try to get there as early as you can.  With you.  Your kids.  Your interpersonal relationships.  It will help to dissociate emotion from your relationships if you can.  No control ever.  Except your choice on whether you believe your thoughts at times of stress.  Your thoughts are not you, they are just a reflection on the stress of life inside your head.  Fight or flight always keeps our brains ready for the tiger around the corner that might eat us.  Except there are not so many natural threats anymore.  So our brains try to compensate.  And throw constant bullshit at us inside our heads.  You can beat that fucker if you have patience and learn how to control your breathing.  Relax.  Do life.  Do yoga.  Enjoy nature while we still have it.

There are so many heroes that came out of 9/11. Endless stories. I have two favorites.

One was described to me by someone i worked with at the time. His brother and his brother's family was on one of the flights that hit the two towers. He called authorities on his cell phone from the plane, trying to alert them before he died...

I'm a very boring smoker. I have a one hitter i've had in my possession for 20 years or so. When i got a pot card a few years ago, i started smoking again. I got overwhelmed by all the options at my local dispensary. I'm ready to give it a rest but i wonder what your favorite way to consume is...

Great, I love Johnny Cash!
dansiego3:
It moves me @felicia_.  Such a simple song.  After i fell in love with it, i found it impossible to believe that this was not his song.  A remake of sting's song.  It is so johnny cash in spirit.  Regret, justice, punishment and sadness all in one song.
