Its easy to waste a lifetime just looking and waiting A.C.

Im living in the imagination more and more everyday. Things are sparking me to see through them again, to record them, to describe what they are and could be. For years I thought I had lost the creative from my life, even academic prose seemed unbearable to write. But its returned to me again, or perhaps Ive returned to it. As Ive eliminated more and more negative from my life, I find that the creative is irrigating my world again. Shedding the most self destructive habits Ive had, and the most crassly material, I feel like Ive rediscovered the world.
Let the tao be present in the universe/ and the universe will sing. One thing Ive finally learned in this life is that creativity, being a writer, is a way of life, a lifestyle, filled with practices all its own. Not that this precludes other things, but there are certain ways of life, certain ways of being in the world, that block out the tao from the universe, and not only prevent the universe from singing, but make it as dumb as a stone.
It can be said that our life is nothing but the series of choices we make, or worse, the choice we dont make. Ive had to make choices recently, some hard, but I feel Ive made the right ones. Slowly, I can see the effect of my will manifesting in the becoming of my life.

Thanks to everyone for reading my journal. I think the coolest thing about sg (ok the coolest thing after the girls) is how just from a random comment or line you find on a journal or a board, you can discover some amazing people!

I totally agree - the journal aspect of SG is my favorite part as well, it's great to come home and see comments from people, and they tend to be fairly positive, cool people (unlike sites like livejournal, that seem to attract bitter trolls.)

As for life choices... I'm a firm adherent to the philosophy that I'd rather regret some of the things that I've done than the things I haven't done. Choices can be tough but that's what makes life interesting and worth living.
