December is flying past too quickly...
Nevertheless, it's been a great end of the year. Went down to Oregon for a week and had a blast with a bunch of really great people. Bought a tonne of CDs at Everyday music - holy cow now that's a music store - found everything from Throbbing Gristle to Black Tape for a Blue Girl to Tracy Bonham to Michael Andrews. I left with 40 odd discs and a huge smile. Thanks to everyone for making my stay so enjoyable.
Sounds like I'm probably moving down there early next year as well, which has me on the verge of excitement. I'm a little reluctant to buy-in because last time I did that I was seriously burnt (ie jobless and homeless) and would like to avoid that dissappointment if at all possible. We'll see though...
And the other thing is that this is the first time in years that I haven't disliked Edmonton. I've met so many great people here lately I kinda want to stay. Granted, my mood has imporved tremendously, so I'm sure that too contributes to my feeling-at-home, but I'm really going to miss some people. Edmonton's not so awful after all. Who knew?
