A day of relative warmth sandwiched between the snow of this past weekend and the coming cold and wintery mix of this one. Meanwhile, it was the bloodiest day yet in Iraq in terms of American deaths. My heart bleeds for the families of those that have died in this appalling miscalculation of a war. And Bush asks us for patience on this discouraging day. What planet is this guy from? Truly, this is the winter of our discontent. Say a prayer for us all.

Yeah, I can't believe the way things are going over there. I know so many friends that have siblings, sons, or husbands fighting, and it is terrifying. My boyfriend actually tried to re-enlist at the end of last year. Thank God he's a bit older and has a beer gut...they wouldn't take him. Thank God!
