I just got back into town from my holiday weekend. Went outside to look at the storm, and this is what I saw from my front porch.

This is the first double rainbow I've seen in person, anyone else ever see one? I was JUST thinking the other day about how I remember seeing rainbows all the time as a little girl, but never as...

Remember the cheater from Friday night? He is actually married. Ya MARRIED. To a redhead. What a lying assfuck. Everyone knows everything about everybody else in this town, you just have to ask the right person.

I am so ready for some positive dating mojo. I keep thinking that if I stay positive minded and don't dwell on how rotten things have been lately,...

I'm sorry to hear that. It's not you. It's probably just some strange coincidence...that seems to be recurrent in your lifestyle. whatever Um, that doesn't sound right to me...does it sound right to you?

Anyway, what I'm trying to get at is that I think you're beautiful, and the right guy is out there trying to find you, so just sit back, relax, and let him do all of the work. He'll track your sexy ass down eventually.

(I just realized that I don't even know you...Hi, I'm Scorpio) biggrin

I'm the same way. If patience is a virtue...then I'm sure as hell not very virtuous. wink

PEEPING TOM!

This guy has been looking in my windows all week long. I think he has a crush on my two girls. He's terrified of people, I've tried to go outside to get a look at him-he just bolts.

The saddest is that he'll sit in the kitchen window, which is where my girls eat, and just stare in. Really pitiful, he reminds me...

Some guys are suckers for a pretty face...

Thanks for the compliments. There was a girl my graduating class who did her BFA similarly on heavily starched sheets and other clothing all folded and crumpled with photos silk screen on to them. It was interesting.

It beats shelling out $220 frown for 20yds of canvas, when I can go thrifting and get a queen set for 1.99 smile I used to stain the canvas anyway and add patterns fo layers so this me a lot of time shocked

Thanks again and I am glad to hear you found the silver-lining to your weekend biggrin

Diary of a loser magnet;

Friday night. The young punk blew me off this week, and when I saw him at a club last night, he acted like we hardly knew each other. It's that "I'm ignoring you" game. Which was funny, because in order for that to work I had to really want to talk to him, which I didn't. I did take the...

To say I havent also had my share of drama this weekend would be a lie. And it would seem the last thing you need is another lying man taking up your time. ;-)

I'm glad to have stumbled on into your area in our SG feifdom.

INSOMNIA: 18 days and counting...

I felt really good about getting to sleep last night, I ate dinner with some friends and had a belly full of food and felt nice and sleepy. Then my bestest girlfriend called, and we proceeded to have this depressing conversation about how our jobs suck, we work too many hours and don't have fun any more. Then we moved...

Hello there, I hope you have gotten some sleep!!!

I can appreciate your conversation with your friend about work and relationships, or lack thereof. I am just recovering from a 10 year relationship myself, and am a bit cynical about my personal future, not to mention that of the world, our country, etc... (don't EVEN get me started!) wink

Have a great weekend!

I've had some wicked insomnia for the last three weeks. I get to sleep just fine, but wake up between 3-4 in the AM and can't get back to sleep. Some of it is job related stress, some of it is personal stress, but shit...I need some sleep. Who's got some good insomnia remedies???

It's been overcast and raining for days, also. That doesn't help...

Hey there!

Saw you in the Newbies group... I'm new myself, just wanted to say hi!

I get occasional insomnia, too. I drink herbal tea w/ valerian and sometimes the "notebook on the nightstand" trick (have you heard of it?) helps. Breathing exercises help too. Also, reading a not-very-interesting book, or one that's tough to get through (like philosophy), sometimes helps. What makes it worse for me is drinking alcohol or warm milk...

Did you REALLY get a ticket for your grass being too long? Where does that happen???

Take care,

DAMMIT!

I blew off working all weekend long, now I have to play catch up. Fuck. Plus my assistant called in sick, and one of the other full time staff is on vacation. There's only two of us to run the whole office today...which means I won't get anything done until after 5:00. Shit, shit, shit.

My weekend was again full of drama, my sister...

Everything is a disaster at work today. The lawn situation is out of control, someone across the street filed a formal complaint with the City Public Health Department about the grass being too long. I think I've found some volunteers to come with lawnmowers tomorrow, but we have a complex that's 1/2 of an entire block. I don't know how much mowing can get done....

I am absolutely having one of those awful days today.

I should have stayed in bed.

I've had some heavy insomnia the last two weeks. It's obviously from the anxiety and stress I've been experiencing at my job. I've spent a lot of late nights feeling like I'm trapped in this situation.

The thing is, I've been complaining, complaining, and complaining about being unhappy, and...

Chicago kicked ass but I was transferred to Aurora for work, so I had no choice but to move. If I didn't move I'd have an hour drive to work every day, on a good traffic day. I'm gonna miss it though, I've lived there my whole life frown

Yeah I grew up in Chicago on the southside my whole life. I had a good run, it just sucks that I have to move now tongue

GAWD I HATE MY JOB!

There are so many, many politics involved in my job, it makes it very difficult to get anything done. For instance, (and this is boring, so just skip down if you feel like it) our contract was up at the end of April with the lawn contractor. He gave me a new bid, which was way higher than last year's,...

Ahhh, that's an interesting inspiration for the design, but it's nice smile Would that design have been over the end of the machine? I've always had an interest in fashion, although ironically, I have no dress sense of my own and have to copy my wardrobe from TV and Filmblush

Tuesday.

I hate it here.

I miss living up north; living in the city, being surrounded by close friends and family, museums, clubs, bars, shopping.

I miss living down south; living in the middle of nowhere and being surrounded by coyotes, barn owls, lizards, snakes, woodpeckers, finches, trees, gardens, hiking, birdwatching, camping.

This town right in the middle is small, but dirty. People born and...

It sounds like you have a wicked cool job. After an extended absence from school, I have returned and am working on by BA/MA in Russian language. I have a minor in History, that is why I was so intrigued by where you work. I wish I could help you with new music but I tend to get behind. I used to be a college radio DJ so I could have helped you then. Oh well. mad

Ummm...by the way, are you not in NY now?
