The surgery has quite literally forced me to pretty much stop everything I was working on. My leg hurts too much to go anywhere and as outlined in my last blog the painkillers fuck with my head too much. For those not in the know I had knee surgery yesterday and they sent me home with something called Percocet. I've heard of it before in all the usual media channels but all I ever actually heard was that it was a painkiller and a narcotic. The thing I heard most often though was that a lot of people were getting addicted to it.

I haven't taken Percocet before, is it an opiod? If it is, eating too much before taking them can make you hurl, not eating anything obviously isn't good either. When ive had to have pain killers i take a half of one no matter what my dose is supposed to be, then wait a half an hour to an hour to see how i feel. I'm a light weight with meds, even antihistamines, so i take the least amount possible first. I'd try eating something light like some soup first, or a shake/smoothie, that's what i do. Remember you can always take more, but you can't take less or go back in time if you took too much for your body's tolerance.
