Not every day that I turn on the radio and hear an advertisement for the small company I got my first car at. Brought back some good memories biggrin then some bad ones frown

I have just now passed the crucial halfway point of 20 days on my juice fast! Weight still hovering but my shirts fit better, my watch feels loose, and my face looks a...

Day 18 of my juice fast, total weight loss thus far: 25lbs. The last few days hasn't yielded much weight loss but I attribute that to the boxing that has probably been building up some muscle so i'm not worried. The two most difficult problems I am facing right now is the wretched taste of the juice I am drinking and my sleep cycle, which...

Looking at myself in the mirror lately reminds me of the scene in The Nutty Professor where the Dean calls Klump a "fat tub of goo." I think it's time to start diet and exercise again.

One week into my juice fast, lost 12lbs. I'm already getting cravings, lately it's been for skittles, stuffed crust pizza, and a toasted sub whatever

Day 10, 15lbs lost, and Popcorn has now been added to my cravings list

Watching RoboCop for the first time in about 50 years. It was awesome then and it's awesome now. Why can't anyone make new movies this well? I'd stack RoboCop against any action movie made in the last 10 years.

This precise phenomenon (producers wanting to broaden their audience) is the bane of my life! It pisses me off. Movies that could be epic turn out to be insipid in order to be suitable for 'family viewing.' And the endless need for a love interest in every film makes me feel like puking sometimes. I say bring out the grindhouse! Have you seen the 2007 Robert Rodriguez film, planet terror? If you like undeterred violence and gore then this is just the thing. Gotta love Robert Rodriguez. And Machete...another gem.
broken_tsuba:
I've been meaning to check out Planet Terror but I have kinda been neglecting to. I'm more of a vampire fan than a zombie one.The only one I've seen AND liked was Resident Evil 2. Danny Trejo is always fun to watch, even is small roles like Heat. Have you seen the new Underworld? I wasn't a huge fan of the series but after seeing the new one I may have to check them out again. Selene is an epic badass where they don't overemphasize how epic she is. They let it happen naturally, unlike thor. They zoom in on Natalie Portman and make her basically say "Hey everyone, did you see that?! Do you have any idea how epic that is? Well now you know, let me slow down the screen play a bit more so you can understand it even better. Get it? Yeah. Epic."

One of my friends shares mostly the same interest as I do only he has an equal opposite position on everything. Because of this we have some of the best, insane, or dorky conversations. This particular conversation is a true testament to how dorky it can be. The scenario is: If we were Super Saiyan Sith, how could we fuck with super heroes and other...

My weight loss has halted at 245 because I have been incapacitated and thus unable to exercise due to my sprain fucking ankle. So I have moved to phase 2 of diet for the time being. Phase 1 had worked well and I saw many benefits of it so as soon as I can exercise again I will re-commence Phase 1 and continue to bare...

So today is day 14 and I am physically unable to weigh myself. The first thing that happened when I got home, AFTER camping, is sprain my fucking ankle. So obviously I'm really pissed but not because my foot is in constant pain, but because I have to sit here all day and can't fucking do anything mad So I last weighed myself 2 days ago...

Diet is going well, however, I am spending the weekend camping in the Poconos. It's gonna be tough not eating when there are burgers and hotdogs and all kinds of greasy goodness around, but I am determined to have fun regardless of my eating habits. This vacation has been a long time coming and very much needed.

Day 7 of my new "diet":

The first few days my weight fluctuated between 270 and 265 but now my weight is consistently going down. As of this morning I wight 257! In addition to this diet I am exercising regularly, doing some crunches in the morning and some vigorous skating for cardio. As soon as i clear out all the wasps in the outside...

Dietary Update: The last diet I tried crashed and burned. Apparently I don't have the discipline to follow a tolerable diet so I have adopted a much more extreme (but still healthy) one. When I was on the Atkins diet several years ago I stuck to it hardcore; I don't know why but I do much better staying on diets that are far more restrictive...

Good luck, hope this one works for you. I'm terrible with diets, I like sweets A LOT and getting to the gym is difficult with hubby working 12+ hours a day and us only having one car.
broken_tsuba:
Thanks, seems like a lot of people have trouble with sweets. My biggest problem is fast food. Taco Bell is my big weakness and is pretty much why I'm in the shape I am now. I'm already looking forward to a taco as my once weekly treat and that's several months away.
