Had an excellent weeknd. Jenn and I drove to Cleveland for the weekend. It's always good to go home, even if it is for only a day or 2.
Big changes afoot at the radio station. One of our long time DJs and production director is leaving in a couple of weeks and the scramble is on to fill his position. Radio is a tough business to break into and I'm sure we'll get more demos than we know what to do with.
As a part of theses changes, I may be moving to our sister station. I would be leaving the Active Rock format, which I love, to move to our Top 40 station. Not as big a fan of the music, but I'd be moving to afternoon drive which is a big deal. Aside from mornings, afternoon drive is the most listened to daypart in radio. That combined with having experience in multiple formats is going to look pretty good on a resume. It pretty much depends on what happens with whoever we hire.
Either way, I'm still sending out demo and resume packages to other stations. The goal is still to get back home and even a promotion here doesn't change that. Wish me luck...
