i'm tired as hell.

for three days in a row i only got four hours of sleep before work. i think i have brain damage. for some reason, when it gets to be 12am, my whole life lights up and i don't want the day to end. i was not meant to be sitting at work at 8:30am, it requires a delicate mixture of orange...

Yay....sounds like you had fun.....Happy weekend! miao!!
2coolforschool:
sweet deal, bro. If it makes you feel any better, I havent slept in the past 24 hours. I had to work overtime today, so Im way too tired to go out.
I cant believe you actually hung out with someone you met on the internet, its just too creepy for me.
And I can completely understand the need to get physically beaten every once and a while, it helps me ease the emotional pain. There was a time in my life when I would get into fights just to lose. Man, I loved those days......

ATTRACTION, pt 1.

I stood next to a girl on the bus today. She caught my eye when I got on, but I didn't think much of it. As I gradually got pushed to the back of the 66, I ended up standing right next to her. The more I looked at her the more beautiful she became. Delicate lips, very thin and small (I...

*The strip club craze is over for me. I absolutely refuse to let myself set foot in another one again.
*Thanks for the comments/insight on the list.
*Didnt mean to get offensive with the bus or weight room comments, i wish I had the drive to work out again. I used to be in terrific shape in high school. (Swim team)
*And yes my luck with girls has definitely faded, as of late. Any conversations Ive had with them have either fallen apart really quickly, or after spending way too much time talking to them, I find out they have a kid or something like that.

Okay, so without further ado I officially close the polls on the great age to sex partners ratio query. Sadly there were no winners. (But 2Cool's late entry of 30-40) was greatly appreciated.

I have had sex with 6 girls and I am 23 years old.

Because I'm having fun with this and its 7:00am and I haven't gone to bed yet and I have...

I wonder why they decided to call ROCKY, ROCKY and not THE GREATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME. What a kick-ass pile of seventies cinema! Man, tonight's been such a good Blockbuster night. ROCKY probably couldn't have been any better even if it had swords in it!

I finished my brother's tattoo design this afternoon. I overslept so I couldn't do the final drawing with...

i dont think i really apologize for myself too much. maybe i do, but i think thats the biggest problem. my biggest problem is thinking i cant do somehting and psyching myself out. i cant do it, thats not gonna happen, she doenst like me, stuff like that. and that comes from a negative self image, and just from being realistic. all the positive thinking in the world isnt gonna get you everything you want.
pixie_fragments:
nah. you're just intimidated by my kick ass chinese food. that i got with my transgender warrior activist powers!

i am not good at hanging out, kicking back, relaxing, and/or taking it easy. i have been trying very hard at it, i really have.

one of my two best friends in the universe came to boston (from philly) to spend a week with me. we haven't spent more than a few hours together in over two years, we had a very minor falling out,...

Some days I take a breath, calm down, and think about where I've been and where I am now and for a few minutes I stop being so goddamn hard on myself. Eight months ago I was sleeping on a tile floor in a room in Boston. I didn't have a job. My computer wasn't capable of handling any of the design work I was...

Bro, I just made a "get fuzzy" group, but cant find it anywhere and its not on my "groups" list, so if you come across it let me know. I put it in arts and entertainment, but cant find it there either
2coolforschool:
I dont know......When I tried to create another one it said the group "already exists", so ill try to talk to some people in charge of their own group, maybe they can help.

i hate how movies are packaged, positioned, marketed and promoted these days.

i just rented (and watched) PIECES OF APRIL because i thought it was gonna be a dumb comedy/light drama that i wouldn't have to pay much attention to when i watched it while cleaning up my room. all the previews i saw gave me this vibe. the movie is presented as this "kooky...

I liked that movie a lot too. I actually saw it at the Denver Film Festival and Peter Hedges was there to talk about it. you can find my review of it at www.kaffeinebuzz.com/filmbuzz.php under the archived film reviews.
deadlyeye:
I havent seen it. But, I have considered renting it. Perhaps I will after all.
Peter Steele did contribute some to Cause For Alarm. At that point AF wasnt actually too far removed musically fom Carnivore, which Peter was in at the time. It was the same scene. But, they are good songs.
When somebody mishears lyrics like you mentioned, its called a "mondegreen"
At least I'm nearly positive thats what its called.

I am bitter.

I can't make it go away. I am having a very hard time accepting that she could walk away from me so easily. It's very hard to deal with those first few months we were together being utter bullshit apparently. Every nice thing she ever said to me now feels like a hollow lie.

I do not feel special anymore.

I feel...

chicago is great. its home. summers can get hot and humid, but better than winter, bah. north side by wrigley is where all the "cool kids" hang out. but a bit farther south, downtown, is great. chicago has great food, all kinds of great food. expensive clubs though

hung out with sara finally. she's a cool girl. it'd be neat if we ended up being friends. you would think that making friends wouldn't be such a foreign concept to me, but it is.

sooner or later i'm gonna stop letting the girl pick what movie of mine we watch, i just don't know how many more times i can freaking watch Ghost World....

Good luck making friends with Sara. I have a really hard time making friends. In fact, I really haven't made any since relocating. I suppose that would explain why I use the computer a lot. I generally expect people to be complete douchebags.. and most of the time, I am unfortunately right.
As far as the girl from Maine, you should have got her number.. (easier said than done, I know) She was from Portland, right? That's not TOO far from Boston. Perhaps you will have your serendipitous encounter with her one day. That would be awesome.
Your profile constantly impresses me. I just noticed the "Get Fuzzy" and "Ziggy Stardust" elements. Man, you and me would be friends in real life to be sure.
Sounds like an awesome show you are going to. I love the Nekromantix (one of my favorite bands). The Disasters are great, too. (Roger Mirit is a great guy if you get to speak with him.. I've met him at an Agnostic Front show in Portland) The Horrorpops are fairly cool as well.. and the Business.. great Oi. I wish that tour would come around here. I would most likely be to that show if I was still in Maine.
Take care.

i am tired. its like four in the morning and i just finished an editorial cartoon that i started at about two in the afternoon at the same-sex marriage rally thing i mentioned in yesterday's journal. i ended up oversleeping and missing hooking up with my socialist friends... i ended up just watching the spectacle of GLAD folks and religous nutbars rallying against one another....

hehe. maybe it's just a phase. yea i'm also taken aback by how i've come to the realization that there are some cool folks around. but i'm trying to maintain a healthy(?) cynicism. like this: i hear that when you get 20 friends, you level-up, increasing your hitpoints and mana! +2 dexterity!

Big day tomorrow, gay marriage certificates are being handed out for the first time in Boston tomorrow and my Socialist friends have asked me to join them in some sort of support rally. Sounds like a good idea I guess, I've never done anything like this before, but I feel this primal urge to get more involved with activism, not politics so much, but with...

I write crap like that in my journal, short stories, weird sort of prose poetry things that I can't figure out what to do with, and on the generating-income side, movie reviews and music reviews and interviews. (a couple of which are on the SG site--Emma Forrest, Lily Burana and Roger Miret)

I edit a magazine written by kids, which is a lot of work but can be a lot of fun.

on the art side, I'm disgruntled mostly because I haven't been creating. Some of it falls more into the crafts side of things, collages, decoupage, etc. etc. and I really need to scam some darkroom access so I can get back with the photography.
mc_escher:
thanks for the vote of confidence. glad i dont do it just to hear myself talk smile

i was checking out your comics and think they're really awesome. for years i've flirted with the idea of doing a zine. after i finish school i may finally sit down and get it done, and it would be that much better if you'd let me use some of your work. i get the impression that you may have published stuff before. any advice?

i did aikido for several years on and off. good stuff. i'm a sucker for martial arts, buddhism, etc. gotta get back to that and working out. i keep thinking that my life will finally start when i finish my degree

and stick it to the man! i've felt that way about Demo's ever since i started voting. punk's what got me into direct action and community involvement. and after you get a taste of that empowerment, it gets under your skin. now i'm ranting. peace.

Day one of website-development marketing meetings comes to a close. I'm in over my head, but it's not that big a deal, nothing I'm not used to.

I saw The Sex Slaves last night and they were fucking awesome! They were loud and intense and all over the place, the bass player spit beer on me (which I normally hate, but for some reason it...

Whenever anybody throws any sort of liquid on me at a show, my adrenaline immediately kicks in.It's like it is right before a fight. It pisses me off for like a second, Then I almost immediately calm down.I guess that shows I probably have a far too quick temper.
I will check out that bands MP3s... which reminds me.. I never downloaded the other bands songs that you recommended before..
I will have to do that.
Take care.
deadlyeye:
I downloaded the MP3s. The Sex Slaves are cool. I like the snottiness in "No Satisfaction" especially.
An Albatross is definitely an interesting band. Im going to have to find some more of their stuff.
