Peter Steele did contribute some to Cause For Alarm. At that point AF wasnt actually too far removed musically fom Carnivore, which Peter was in at the time. It was the same scene. But, they are good songs.

chicago is great. its home. summers can get hot and humid, but better than winter, bah. north side by wrigley is where all the "cool kids" hang out. but a bit farther south, downtown, is great. chicago has great food, all kinds of great food. expensive clubs though

Good luck making friends with Sara. I have a really hard time making friends. In fact, I really haven't made any since relocating. I suppose that would explain why I use the computer a lot. I generally expect people to be complete douchebags.. and most of the time, I am unfortunately right.
As far as the girl from Maine, you should have got her number.. (easier said than done, I know) She was from Portland, right? That's not TOO far from Boston. Perhaps you will have your serendipitous encounter with her one day. That would be awesome.

Sounds like an awesome show you are going to. I love the Nekromantix (one of my favorite bands). The Disasters are great, too. (Roger Mirit is a great guy if you get to speak with him.. I've met him at an Agnostic Front show in Portland) The Horrorpops are fairly cool as well.. and the Business.. great Oi. I wish that tour would come around here. I would most likely be to that show if I was still in Maine.

hehe. maybe it's just a phase. yea i'm also taken aback by how i've come to the realization that there are some cool folks around. but i'm trying to maintain a healthy(?) cynicism. like this: i hear that when you get 20 friends, you level-up, increasing your hitpoints and mana! +2 dexterity!

I write crap like that in my journal, short stories, weird sort of prose poetry things that I can't figure out what to do with, and on the generating-income side, movie reviews and music reviews and interviews. (a couple of which are on the SG site--Emma Forrest, Lily Burana and Roger Miret)

I edit a magazine written by kids, which is a lot of work but can be a lot of fun.

on the art side, I'm disgruntled mostly because I haven't been creating. Some of it falls more into the crafts side of things, collages, decoupage, etc. etc. and I really need to scam some darkroom access so I can get back with the photography.

i was checking out your comics and think they're really awesome. for years i've flirted with the idea of doing a zine. after i finish school i may finally sit down and get it done, and it would be that much better if you'd let me use some of your work. i get the impression that you may have published stuff before. any advice?

i did aikido for several years on and off. good stuff. i'm a sucker for martial arts, buddhism, etc. gotta get back to that and working out. i keep thinking that my life will finally start when i finish my degree

and stick it to the man! i've felt that way about Demo's ever since i started voting. punk's what got me into direct action and community involvement. and after you get a taste of that empowerment, it gets under your skin. now i'm ranting. peace.

Whenever anybody throws any sort of liquid on me at a show, my adrenaline immediately kicks in.It's like it is right before a fight. It pisses me off for like a second, Then I almost immediately calm down.I guess that shows I probably have a far too quick temper.
I will check out that bands MP3s... which reminds me.. I never downloaded the other bands songs that you recommended before..
I will have to do that.

I downloaded the MP3s. The Sex Slaves are cool. I like the snottiness in "No Satisfaction" especially.
An Albatross is definitely an interesting band. Im going to have to find some more of their stuff.
