so suffering from a mild bout of the plague, and descretion being the better part of valor, i stayed home on friday and missed the sgchicago get together.
to go with the emoticon i just put on the first movement of carmina burana.

I was bummed about missing the SGCHI get together and I'm all the way in yokelville Montana -- but I wanted to go nevertheless.
mitch hedberg is dead. he was a very funny comedian. check him out rip
my head hurts for a variety of reasons...the two at the forefront are the copious amounts of carburator cleaner and gasoline that soaked into my skin today. and no running scooter to show for it.

i have spent the las six easters completely ignoring the christian holiday in favor of what my ex and i referred to as debauchery day. we'd rent funny movies, get so stoned we could barely open our eyes, eat good muncie food and drink tasty cocktails all day.
that brings us to today.

More drunken musings, or do you need a mental bitchslap?
Space and time. I've said it many, many times, but it's true. Space. And. Time. Take six months away from her. I promise it will do a world of good, even if it sucks like hell at first (you're already miserable... what's a bit more?)
Space. Time.
Have I ever lied to you?
Didn't think so.

Sounds like we're doing the same thing. I'm having a hard time even talking myself into going upstairs to get any junk food or grab my weed out of its "Italian seasoning" jar.
well after talking about it eons ago, i have joined a gym. and i am currently drinking to what will in theory be my new found health.
i am kinda hoping that this will help get me out of the funk that i am in and have been in for a while. i know that if i do it right it will definately get me...

I've always been a closet-member of the undead. It's refreshing and liberating to let my inhibitions slip and reveal my true self to the SG world!

You know me so well... I did do that little head tilt the RCA dog does.
I thought it was an eBay auction at first, and I couldn't figure out why you'd drive almost nine hours round-trip on one of the most boring highways in America instead of paying for shipping. Then I realized you're unemployed and have nothing but time and chalked it up to "A Weird Justin Escapade".
I drove to St. Louis for Fourth of July on a whim back in 1996. (That was the trip that caused me to break down in Hammond. I think I told you the story of getting stuck at the Shell on Indianapolis Ave for eight hours).
Have fun!

I know it's a ripoff. I just haven't had time to do the research into other things yet.

True, you don't fit the stereotypical yuppie definition of "accomplishment", but you fit mine, and mine is all that counts.
Sorcha's Definition of Accomplishment:
When you complete something you set out to do and better yourself in the process; therefore, visiting museums and art galleries, reading good books, researching ways to continue your education, watching programs you wouldn't normally have time to view, and taking an occasional road trip are all accomplishments.
You are still growing, intellectually, instead of letting yourself waste away in front of the television sixteen hours per day. Were you to do that during the entirety of your lay-off, I'd have to bitchslap you with an entire roll of Turkish Delight.
And you know I would.

I prefer to drive at night. I've always been that way. Speaking of driving, as you drove away, I realized I hadn't told you how to get to I-94 from my place. I figured you'd mapped it, though, since you didn't ask. I tried calling your phone, but yeah...
Anyway, that last Google thing was that mystery ingredient in Turkish Delight.
It's mastic.
'The aromatic resin of the mastic tree, used especially in varnishes, lacquers, adhesives, and condiments and as an astringent.'

Get some sleep, and buy some damn curtains already.
I know the timing will be odd, which is why I told you call me from Grand Rapids. That will give me time to wake up, get home from wherever I am, wipe the coke off the countertops, or whatever. Grand Rapids is 45-60 minutes from my front porch.
