what a weekend. thinking back on it all it seems like a story more than my life. pretty interesting. today is my day to take in all that has happened and try to make sense of it all. to reflect and remember. pull a few tubes, have another cocktail, and reflect. ahh, the life of the unemployed man. smile
_sarah_:
I know what you mean. I woke up thinking it really had been a dream, despite you pinching the hell out of my arm the other day wink , but I have the observatory ticket, wrist band, chopsticks, and pictures to prove otherwise.

I read this entry after I left the voice mail. Oops. blush I didn't realize you were taking a day "off", so to speak.

...hehe unemployment rules...apart from the fact that i dont really understand the concept of money, so as soon as my 'artist' benefit comes through, i buy beer and pot and food etc, and then *poof*, its gone with many days to go until the next installment.........................gotta find a way around that one without submitting to everyday drudgery in some machine-like existence....

...i love weekends that seem like stories, they are the best kind, relfect and bask in the beauty dude tongue

while walking it occurred to me that just having been laid off, i am in the rare position of having too much time on my hands. time to join a gym. i signed up for a...

Excellent... *rubs hands together*

I just applied to UIC, by the way. I'm also looking at Monster since I know I can make about twice as much money in Chicago. I miss Chicago soooooooooooooooo much. I can't wait to feel the city in my blood again. Mmm... city pulse...
_sarah_:
Silly boy. I wasn't *really* giving you grief. That picture made me laugh. I remember you telling me about his beer thing when I came to visit.

I wouldn't be a very good kitty mommy if I didn't poke you over it, though. wink

I'll never forget having to call work and tell them I was going to be late because they were 'moving a house down my street'. They laughed, and I said, "No. Really. You can confirm this with the neighborhood association."

This is unrelated, but I was reminded of it somehow... Non sequiturs abound, eh?

You know, I had all of that stuff in my car, but I forgot to give it to you when I was there. I'll send it out with the Valentine. You get one of the extra-special ones. smile

Morticia (Gomez's adopted sister) used to bat at the snowflakes. It cracked me up. Gomez usually just hops up into the window and gets this look on his face that screams, "WHAT'S THIS STUFF?!?"

had the pleasure of heading to the UNEMPLOYMENT OFFICEtoday. mixed emotions on that. a little of "the state's paying me to play video games, fuck off on the computer, get high and drink beer" happiness, followed by this pressing feeling of being poor.

which i'm not really. i will file my taxes tomorrow and a friend of mine that owes me a lot of...

eek... i think its time for me to get my ass down to that office; i've been trying to get a job for way too long!
p.s. your cats are cute!
_sarah_:
Oh yeah... I'm sure that would go over really well as a commencement speech. tongue I'll just remove all of the references to speeding, drinking, sleeping with people, flirting, thumbing my nose at the IRS, and humping people's legs.

wink

in a scant few hours i will be getting my computer back. i haven't been able to access my music for almost four weeks. i can't fucking wait. i also can't believe that i am this excited about a computer. whatever
_sarah_:
I feel your pain/joy. I was without my computer for about three days, and I was so lost. I don't care if I'm on vacation or something, but to be home and not have a way to write, listen to most of my music, keep a journal, check email, chat with friends without using minutes... bleh.

*hugs computer*
lionne:
yeah, i know what you mean; i was using my roomie's computer for a few months, adn finally got my own back just the other day...i was so excited to have all the good music again and my fun software...sad but true blush
