Lucindia is the daughter of this girl.

That is Jen. Her nickname that she uses (she's not on SG) is chicky (and Lin Xiu since that's her birth name). It used to be littlechick22 then littlechick23 and so forth til she decided just to call herself chicky. All the ones who know her don't call her by her name much, they usually call her chick. So that nickname was an obvious choice.

She is my best friend.

No, we've never had sex. In fact I've never kissed her. I've never said I wanted to kiss her. I've never had an overwhelming urge to kiss her. I've never been close enough to kiss her.

The reason is because she lives in Pennsylvania where there's lots of amish people. I've never been to Pennsylvania. She's never been to California. As such, we've never met eachother in person.

Jen was born in Peoples Republic of China in 1978. Her mom named her Lin Xiu (pronounced Lihn Shee-Oh). In China you can only have so many kids. If you have more, they kill them (for those only familiar with western societies that's not a joke, they do kill the live born babies). So her mom snuck her out of the country and the two of them moved to Missouri where Jens uncle lived.

No way to support her daughter and unsure of her own future she felt it would be in the best interest to offer her up for adoption. She was adopted by an Irish Catholic family in PA where she lives now. While she was born in China, she was raised like any other American. She is as American as they come. She still reads about Chinese culture and such, and is aware of the massively poor living conditions there. As such, she won't be visiting P.R.C. any time soon.

Some time ago, shortly before I started talking to her, she was in a very horrible state after experiencing things no person should ever have to. As a result of that, she tried to take her life. She tried to poison herself by drinking industrial grade bleach. Things went very very wrong and rather than drinking it she imidiately vomited it up and, while caughing, inhaled it. She lost her vocal cords and a lrge portion of both lungs but survived. Because of this, she's extremely quiet and makes no sounds at all. She never says a word ever. Can't even order McDonalds through the drive through. As such we've never talked on the phone.

She's very shy and very insecure in her appearance. Which you can see by the image above, is nothing to be shy about or insecure of. But still, she is. As such, she's never gotten on a webcam.

I have no proof whatsoever that she is who she says she is. Or for that matter if that she is even a she. Only the faith that there are people out there who prefer to say things however they feel and don't like to lie to people.

I've talked to her for 5 years. The first night I talked to her, when she first talked to me I was absolutely ecstatic. Ecstatic that someone as beautiful as she is, as short as she is, and as close to perfect to what I love in women would even be talking to me. When she said she actually enjoyed talking to me I almost peed my pants. When she said she was excited to talk to me and waited for me to come online every night I was in love. When she said she met someone who wasn't me I was crushed but when I woke up the next morning I was ecstatic. When she said her and Rob were going to be married I was beyond words with joy.

Her one dream and passion since she was young was to have a child. She loves children more than anything. She worked in a day care and loved eery second of it. She said those days working thre with those children were the happiest days of her life. Once her accident happened she, of course, couldn't do that anymore since she wouldn't be able to yell to them or for help in the event of an accident. As of now, she stays at home. As such, when she said she had gotten pregnant and was going have a baby I got so excited that I did something very very very uncharacteristic for me (unless I'm drunk, then I'm much more impulsive) and actually made noise saying "WOOHOO!".

Jen lives in her own house she had built for her from her own money. She saved money from the time she got her first job at age 16. She's never made much. But she's never spent what she had. ("I'm not cheap! I'm just thrifty.") Her husband built it along with her contributing what money he had.

Now she is in the hospital as standard precaution when having a C-section (her doctor advised having one since she's so little). She's doing great. She'll be home tomorrow or the day after. For those who don't know (I didn't) they just give her a shot on her spine of anesthesia. Shortly afterward, she is temporarily paralyzed from there down and, obviously, can't feel a thing. As a result she also can't walk. She is back up n runnin about now though.

In case any of you are sharp and wonder how I know this, her sister Amy signed on and told me that Jen had a baby girl 6lbs 4oz at 7:10pm by operation. Black hair, brown eyes. Her name is Lucindia.

5 years ago this girl was someone who felt that her entire life was over. In her eyes there could never possibly be anything else that she could ever experience that would make living worth the attempt. She was in the hospital with everything she had and loved, her father - the only family member who actually loved her-, her only boyfriend she had ever had (of 5 years (and soon to be fiance)), and not to mention a fair portion of the inside of her own body torn away from her within the space of only a few weeks.

Now, she is living with a husband who she never dreamed a simple girl like her could ever be with. She has her own house which she owns complete and debt free. She has everything she has ever wanted. From her happinin' four wheeler to her and her husbands brand new cars to her newly born daughter of her very own she can raise with the man she is very in love with.

Those of you who talk to me often have heard me say many times about my disgust for most everything I see in America today. A list of things which would be longer than this entire entry. But had she grown up in the country she was born in, the likelihood she would be anywhere close to as happy as she is now is very very slim. And a turn around like the one she has made would be unthinkable. It's stories like hers that, even with all the things I see and live through every day, still make me proud to be an American.

Although I'm sure there's going to be someone who says "That can't happen in Australia or New Zealand or Finland or UK or any other non third world country?" For those: Shu'p, I'm havin a moment here. biggrin
