A few months ago when I was getting in to work at 3pm, cause it was so hot, I got woken up by a phone call at 10am from someone from the press enterprise. He did his thing, trying to sell his paper, and asked me if I'd like a subscription. I said no, that I never read the paper. That went on for a while and he asked me if someone could come by and talk to me and I was like "yea, whatever, I gotta get to work bye". I can only assume that he misinterpreted that as my saying "why yes, I would love to get the press enterprise" eventhough I told him repeatedly that I don't read the newspaper. A week er two later I got a paper saying that I could pay an introductory rate of like $20 er whatever it was. Later on I found out, those were bills, although they didn't look like bills. A month er two later, again waking me up a few hours before I normally get up, some girl called up from the collections agency there saying I had an outstanding ballance. I told her that I never wanted to receive the paper and never agreed to a subscription. She asked me why I continued getting it and I responded that I didn't get any except the first one, which was, of course, true. and after a whole lot of me controling my temper during a discussion (I was absolutely infuriated by the whole situation) she says "ok ill put down that you arent going to pay it" and ended the call. Last week I was in frys and one of the workers there asked me if id like to get a Fry's card, which would make purchases there easier, and since I spend about 1/3 my annual income at Fry's Electronics, I said ok. I just got a paper in the mail today saying that I was declined because of my credit. I have always always paid cash for everything. The only reason I got the ATM card I have that I got the account here with is because I cant buy anything that I don't already have the money for. so I'll never go into debt. The only credit I have is, on Christmas I bought my brother a cell phone. I figured it would be a cool gift and there would be two people who could pay it so if I got laid off, or he did, then whichever one was working could still pay it. Me and my brother are extremely close, and that will never change, so it surely would never be an ordeal. So the only credit I have reported is good credit. Not much, but still, it is all good. It's possible that I was declined for not enough credit, but I asked the guy that when I was there and he said that there would not be anything to worry about as they only aprove people for small amounts of credit purchases if they have little credit, that they cared only if you had bad credit or if you had no bank account.
I can surely get this cleared. It will only take a little bit of calling and mail tag. But I rarely have the time to post something in here for a few minutes, let alone go through an ordeal like that (I decided to take a few hours off work today cause I didn't feel like being there tonight).
This whole situation sucks ass. What if I can't get into a shop or apartment cause some jackass wanted a raise and thought one more sale would make the critical difference? I feel like I've been raped. Oh well I'll live
