I always feel that following a flock is not the best choice regardless of what you or they are doing. Common sense will always prevail above blindly following everyone else. The vast majority of people have great difficulty in using the intelligence they have (asuming they have much to begin with, a lot of people just plain don't). Every time I realize that I'm following someone elses lead I think back to one time I went mountain biking and at every turn was a rut (grove that the tires make in dirt, if your not familiar). They were kindo deep suggesting that most everyone used them. Most every one of them led straight the hell into a tree, I'm not joking. This was at a time when mountain biking was somewhat in its infancy and not all that many people were familiar with what they were doing. Most felt uncomfortable and insecure and just followed whatever everyone else was doing without thinking that the ones they are following have no clue what they are doing either. I suppose maybe I just have a lot of confidence in my own decision making and that's why I'm the way I am. But it's always worked out for the better for me that I can think of at the moment.
