For anyone wondering why I have the REQUEST FRIENDSHIP function disabled please allow me to elaborate. It's not much a secret that, when I'm awake and can actually say something, I'm a pretty awesome mufucker. Quite outgoing, pretty damn funny, always polite, and always friendly, amongst other admirable qualities.
Enclosed here is a really awesome rant.
SPOILERS! (Click to view)
I'm never judgmental about anyone and, no matter what happens, even if they've done something that's hurt me severely, I'm always nice to them for at least two reasons. Amongst them is that you are talking to another human being there whos emotions work the same as yours. It's just common human fuckin' decency.
Another of them being that you never ever know what roll someone will play in your life in the future. Never. You never know if someone you just meet is going to turn out to be your best friend, the love of your life, or someone whos friendship fades away into the dusts of time. Either way, if you aren't nice to someone you just meet, even when your day is going like total shit, any hopes of having any type of positive relationship with them is probably gonna be tossed out the window. Or at least creating one will be made a lot more difficult. And what sense would there be in creating an enemy? In creating a workforce of people who's objectives are to make your life hell? Very little, says I. No, to me it's always made more sense to create a workforce of people who's objectives are to make you feel awesome at all times.
And regardless of how someone acts towards you it's always important to be friendly towards them. At any time, even the relationship between you and your worst enemy can turn around 180 degrees and they can become your best friend. The most annoying person you talk to can become someone you care about and respect the most. You could tell some beggar -- that you're oh-so confident you'll never see again -- to fuck off that you hate people who beg, then after driving 5 miles down the road, after running out of gas, that same person might pass you by, returning whatever malice or kindness you just showed them.
There's another reason to always be nice to someone even after they've fucked you over or pissed you off in some way and it is something that I am very passionate about. It's something that I learned extremely quickly in my racing and, fortunately, it ended up spilling over into other aspects of my life. When you have a group of people working towards an objective, such as driving over 1000 miles of desert to get to the finish line first, and everyone else is proving to be failures left and right, breaking their car, crashing out, and you are still goin' strong without a care in the world, MAN do you look good. It's really easy to be successful at something when everything is going your way. It's when everything goes to hell and you're still doin good that you start to look really good. When you look at that in the context of racing it's pretty obvious that just because someone else fails, doesn't mean that you should try and be a failure yourself, quite the opposite. When others fail that's exactly when you should focus and allow your abilities to shine. That's when everyone really takes notice.
When I was working at Taco bell this guy came through the drive through and was a total dick to the girl working the register. She got all pissed off at his frankness and started being a dick back to him. As he pulled away I waved at him and said "Take care Mike!". I turned to the girl and said "The hell's wrong with you? How could you be so fucking insensitive." She knew that I had my headset on and heard the whole conversation of him being a dick to her and says "ExcUSE ME?!" "Dude, I can't belive you just did that to him" I said "Three days ago his mother died in a car wreck on the 55! An if that's not enough that night his only sister shot herself in the head after hours of crying drunk as shit in the bathtub ... in HIS FUCKING apartment. He found what was left of her body that afternoon. Earlier this morning as he was moping around his girlfriends place said she just couldn't handle being around someone depressed like that and kicked him out. Now he gets to deal with you calling him a dick for being upset about losing his entire fuckin' life in the span of 3 days. You don't think that's a bit god damned insensitive?" She got kindo shocked and after a bit of discussion asked me to tell him she's sorry and didn't know. I said to her "I can't do that, I have no idea how to get ahold of him. I don't even know who the fuck he is. I don't know that all that shit happened, I just know that he's a person just like me and you and people only act that way when something is bothering them. And that's the entirely WRONG time to start fucking with someone."
All of these traits work out favorably, especially in a chat room environment for people to think "wow this guy sounds like someone I'd like to have as a friend. I'm gonna send him a friends request". It's just a simple click away, after all. Because of that I've been getting a pretty big influx of friends requests lately of people who I have no fucking clue who the hell they are. People I'll have talked to just once when I was drunk as shit and can't remember shit of my talking to them. While none of these folks seem to have anything that would make me NOT want to be their friend, putting someone there with such a limited knowledge of them would make calling someone "my friend" meaningless.
Because of this I've decided to only accept someones friend request if they can answer at least 2 of these questions. If the term friend means much to you and you feel I am one it should be easy as hell.
1. What does the TTC stand for in my aim screen name?
2. What's my phone number. (this one is actually pretty fuckin' easy since I posted it in the silliness board)
3. What's Jens daughters name? Or, can you tell me anything at all about Jen or her relationship to me? (if you're wondering which Jen, I've suggested to her many times that she needs a simple tattoo on her hop er something that says "Made In China")
4. Do I have a girlfriend? If so what is her name?
5. Do I have a boyfriend? If so what's his name?
6. The hell am I doing waking up at 9pm at night on a Monday night and then heading off to work? (hint, it has to do with sleeping disorders and ballerinas)
7. Can you tell me a little something about my bed such as where I got it or what size it is?
8. You think I really care if the toilet paper is put on underhand style?
Also, I should be able to answer at least a minimum of 25% of any group of questions of equally personal nature about you. You don't even have to have met me in person. All of those questions there can be answered by reading back in my journal entries. Except maybe 4 and 5. Those I debated even putting up there since I hardly ever know the answers myself (well I spose I likely know the answer to 5). For sure I not only invite but ASK that anyone click on the lil BOOKMARK PROFILE button up there. It's one of the most awesome features of the site. And above all, I not only invite be ASK that you BECOME a friend. I like friends. Friends are cool.
Also, I stand by the world being SO much better if people learned to be respectful and kind. It's so easy....yet so many seem incapable of grasping it.
You seem to be one who does, and I appreciate that a lot.
xx
And you arent unkissable yourself.
I can't answer any other questions but i thin it is pretty impressive that i have your number stored on my phone....
right????
