Every once in a while I'll be reading what people said in their journals on my bookmarks part and, for a second forget that I'm not actually viewing their journal, and off to the side see the interest like favorite bands and stuff like that and think "wow this person has really good taste" and read more and see other things like favorite TV shows and favorite sexual position and think "damn, this person rocks!". Then it will hit me "oh duh, those are your favorite things, dumbass". I mean it is only for a split two billionths of a second that I get confused before realizing that it's because I'm focusing on what the other persons journal says and allowed my mind to wander, but still it makes me giggle every time I do it.
Kind of like this one time, probably two or three years ago, that I was riding my bicycle home from work at like 3am after working 16hrs straight. It was a 20 mile bike ride home, so after working so long and riding a bike that long on top of it, obviously I was absolutely exhausted. I typically keep my head regardless of my state of mind no matter how tired I am, especially when riding, but this one time I was riding home and there's a bridge in Norco (Norco is about 60 miles from the ocean inland with the Ortega mountain range in between it and the sea) that's something like an eighth of a mile long that goes over a fairly heavily wooded river that is after a long downhill section, so you're moving fairly quickly, comparatively speaking, when you get to it. When I rode up to it this time, for some unknown reason, I had this thought that there were pirates in a pirate ship in the Santa Ana River there who would be upset when I discovered them and come after me and, me being on a bicycle, especially as tired as I was, it would be difficult to run away from them before they chop me up with their buccaneer swords. Although It was all really clear in my head, it, like my realization that it's my own favorites that I'm looking at, took only a few billionths of a second to realize how ridiculous this was and I almost crashed into the cement wall giggling. Now every time I drive over that bridge I think back to that night where I was like "GAH! PIRATES!!" and I always get a kick out of it.

It was a fun wonky set actually. I had way too much fun, in spite of the hypothermia! Honestly!
