Kicked out, and off the only hayride heading back into town. I watched the wheels and spokes fumble past me one quarter turn at a time. Even the cheap rubber of those used tires appeared grateful to be toting 170 pounds less.
Fast now, it grew dark. I still had'nt the strength to stand from where I had fallen, or better yet, been pushed.
