Lyssan: Held up in Customs.

The Maker crew is going along well. A few of our adventures are posted at prototank.com.

They tell me that I am the Donatello of the group. Adam is clearly our Leonardo. Alex is Michelangelo. This leaves Ryan to be Raphael, by process of exclusion, and much to his chagrin.

I`m nerf-bulletproof.

He`s chagrined? Sounds like Raphael to me.

Lyssan-watch begins.

The ship lands today. Then there's expected to be two days waiting, perhaps less, for the container full o' games to clear contraband scans.

I'm on house arrest for the duration, during business hours. The fridge is stocked. There's a pile of packing materials bigger than my bed waiting to be used up.

After this one goes out, I actually get to breathe...

It is 3AM. My flight landed an hour ago. The trains will run again and carry me home in another few hours. Now I sit in the quiet of the International Terminal after hours. I am stuffing roast almonds into dried apricots. One nip takes the end off the apricot, then the almonds slip inside easily enough. Their crunch brings out the sweetness of the...

The first convention of the season has come and gone. It was a whirlwind. I may lose my voice. I hop the plane for the next one tomorrow.

It was worth it. The main thing I learned was that people noticed the little design decisions I thought that would slip by subliminally. That they notice all the little details that kept me up nights. They...

Did you lose your voice, then?

Yay for geeky volunteers, indeed.

This sounds like an fantastic con. So happy to hear your decisions and late nights were seen an acknowledged. It is hear same small details that make you so good at this. Having played many games and knowing what you like helps make this successful. I am excited for you and for lyssan!

Things that make me happy this week:

Good times at the Hardware Innovation Workshop. This was a pre-Makerfaire conference. My team was invited to show some of our stuff, and were flattered to find ourselves in the company of the inventors of so many cool things. (arduino, chumby, littleBits, and so many more) I can also cross a visit to PARC off my geek bucket...

This post from last week?

I'm doing something right: My ticket to MakerFaire just got comped.

Today the news is that my maker crew just got comped 2 tickets to the Hardware Innovation Workshop. Now we just have to talk them out of two more tickets so that all four of us can be there. It's at PARC. That's the lab that invented the...

At this point, I feel like there's not a lot left of me to give out. But hey, every day is a new shot, right?
atomicant:
That's what everyone keeps telling me.

Funny, indeed. And I like Buffet, for the record.
However, two ancient billionaires who can afford the care of four doctors, and whoon the stage before people who carejosh about how perfectly healthy they are, while engaging in ah-shucks-we're-just-plain-folks humor, certainly raise some red flags. There are several layers of critique, incredulity, and irony that might apply.
