Superstition holds that how you spend your birthday predicts how you will spend the year that follows. Last year I spent my birthday coding in a robot lab, and as it happens, superstition nailed that one. This year I'd like to spend some part of the day having sex. Most of it, for choice. I'm quite certain that robots will take up whatever time is...

My first print magazine article has been accepted for publication. Previously, it's all been web based magazines. Somehow it feels more real knowing that trees are going to die for my writing career.

Dungeon magazine, issue 130 (January 2006).
The current title is "Within the Circle".

Go me.

P.S. Thanks to Faust for playing editor!

I've just seen 'Alone in the Dark'.

You must see this movie.
I haven't laughed so hard in a horror film since Evil Dead III.

Bring friends who are good to MST3k with.
Being tipsy might not hurt, but we got by just fine stone cold sober.

And Stephen, if you read this, you MUST get yourself a part in the sequel. It would be...

I had never had vodka before a few moments ago.
I have to say, that tastes exactly like rubbing alcohol smells, only less so.
Verdict: I don't like vodka.

I started installing Half Life 2 some time back.
First, it installed the steam installer.
Then it read each of the 5 CDs in sequence.
Then it downloaded some extra stuff off the net that hadn't...

I was never heavily into gaming. There were a few games I would load up to play with friends (Q2, and later Q3A), and I have a couple of RPGs and older sims like Roller Coaster Tycoon II laying around, but that's about it.

Even with those, the game I end up playing most is Nethack. smile
arlo:
oh dear. the trick is mixing the vodka with the right stuff. shots of it are just gross. most alcohol is gross straight, i think. mix mix mix.

"It's like Satan with a teddy bear."
    - a classmate, commenting on me holding a teddy bear.

Double irony: I still get routinely accused of looking like Jesus.
