I'm running to deliver a printout of a final project to a professor. It was due 5 minutes ago. I'm running and then I'm tripping onto the concrete and then you know how it goes from here. Hands on fire, knees the same. Strangers are helping me gather up the papers I've dropped. Plants gather the scattered sheets before the wind can carry them away.
It's 10 minutes late, and I'm sorting through crumpled, bloodstained papers, putting them back in order. The professor accepts them with a grimace.
My last final exam is in 3 hours.
I've had less sleep than that.
I've had better days, but then, I've had far worse.
Here's to kicking the ass out of that final.

Update: I stopped into the student medical center to ask for a wad of gauze and a bit o' tape. By the time I escaped, I'd had consultations with 4 different individuals not counting the billing department, a tetanus booster, and a referral for an x-ray.
If tetanus were bullets, I'd be kevlar.
Exam in 20 minutes.

i was just going to let you know about that gig in St. Louis. we're playing on jan. 30th at Lemmon's Basement Bar, which i've heard is quite well known. the cover is a whopping $10.00, but that gets you an all day pass and there are numerous bands from all different genres playing. we go on around 7:00-8:00pm. any support you could bring would be appreciated. i don't know how many of our fans are willing to make the trek up to the show me state to cheer us on. hell, i'll buy you a beer just for showing up!
