Part 1: In which I bathe pigs.
I bathed my pigs for the first time today. Albert took it well, and most needed it - the boy was developing dreadlocks. Kusanagi, she looked less happy about the state of affairs. Specifically, she went into a little piggy catatonic fugue afterwards and wouldn't even LOOK at me. She just stayed wrapped up in her little pig burrito of a towel and had an expression on her face like she wanted to call a shelter. She did perk up once I put her back in the cage, and she discovered that it too was now all fresh, with entirely new bedding. Now she's bounding and scrambling over the place in joy again.
Part 2 : In which I make motions towards having a life.
Went with a few old friends to the RenFaire yesterday. Heard good celtic music, ate grilled corn, found another local beekeeper for my meadmaking experiments, and was reminded how much I miss blacksmithing and pottery.
The rest of the week is pretty full.
Wednesday: Picnic viewing of "As You Like It" in Forest Park with assorted friends, tornados permitting.
Thursday: Hosting mafia theme party. Must learn to mix awe inspiring martinis in time. Need white suspenders to complete outfit.
Friday: Jon's birthday party. Go see new Harry Potter movie with gathered folk.

so three of us out of about 80+ listed.. how depressing...
anyhoo.. you like pottery? If you have a kiln... I have a deal we can work out.. I have my own electric wheel.. and I actually know how to use it.. but alas I have no kiln.. if I had one. I would be able to begin producing wares for sale.. because I wanna live through art.. if at all possible...
if you don't have a kiln, say howdy anyway..
