Life remains good.
The thing about being a programmer and having your computer stolen is, it makes you stop, and think.
You can't work. What's more, the distractions you first turn to vanish at the same time. So if there's something you were avoiding thinking, you don't get to hide from it anymore.
Here's the thought I'd been hiding from:
I've been ready to be done with this vacation for a while. What's exciting to me right now is creating.

No regrets for today. I woke up in one of my favorite cities (Edinburgh). I stopped in at the local hackerspace/vegan cafe/art collective. On walking in, I heard the girl in the kitchen say to one of the other members that she had no volunteer to help that morning.
A few hours later, I have dishpan hands and the workspace I needed to push my non-programming project forward. I also have a second job to help out the collective over the next couple days: They want motorized disco balls built for the bathroom. I bet you don't have those in YOUR bathroom. You never thought you wanted them before, did you?

Does this mean GPTV is getting turned off sooner?
Whereabouts are you staying at the moment and will you be able to get to London for Friday? There is one cinema I would like to see the film in, Apollo - Piccadilly Circus, but I don't know if they will have it on the night. Hopefully they do as it would be easy for everyone to get to/from.
