anyway, i am trying to be a positive procrastinator. I saw your postings in the diet&nut group...are you still feeling your not getting enough calories in or ooomph out of your day??
(I am a dietetics major so this is how I am trying to procrastinate positively by talking food with people!)
More cooking lessons. The current favorite recipe? This pastry of filo dough, fruit, and toasted almond slivers, all wrapped up and covered in fresh cinnamon-caramel sauce.
Pizza lessons seem to have been absorbed reasonably sufficiently.
Also: Just started bottling my second batch of mead. After a year and a half of ferment, it was time. This batch is darker than the last, and, more importantly, not cloudy, other than a couple bottles that pulled some lees during the bottling. Initial taste tests say it's pretty darn good.
I just had the fortune to attend a gormet cooking class and share the Chef's attention with only four other students. It was amazing. I'm too stuffed with Chef Marc's handiwork to try out his recipes yet. Must practice this before the knowledge leaves my head... can't put anything more in stomach or I'll explode.

I had another job interview today. It went well, but there was one bit that threw me off at the beginning:
Interviewer: Do we have any hard deadlines?
Me: Not really. If I haven't shown up at the climbing gym by 6:30, a few people might wonder where I am.
Interviewer: You climb? Why aren't you applying at Microsoft?
I have never climbed a wall, only a mountain.
It's basicaly, using the friction of the palms of your hands and balls of your feet to climb up a relatively smooth rock face. Since there really aren't any crevises in wich to put your hands, you rely mostly on the friction of your palms and feet.
