God, Heroes just sucks now. It's been sliding towards suck for a long time now, and as we sit and try to make it through this week's episode, I think it's official. EnergyChannel just stepped out to smoke, saying he was going to try to muster up some desire to finish the episode.

In other news, I bought the best thing in the world. An...

I actually like the arc of the show right now. I may be in the minority. Do you two watch Battlestar Galactica?

Today, we honor the memory of a great man. Tomorrow, we celebrate the beginning of a new presidential administration, the first step on a very long path towards getting this country back on track.

I for one remain cautiously optimistic.

Apparently not! There's so much stuff that's changed... the UI is kinda unpainful! But yeah, I didn't renew, someone renewed for me. Like magic!

Well, that was a miserable last few days. I was supposed to go back to work on Monday but decided to come down with an awful stomach virus instead. So, for the last three days, I've done nothing but sleep, couch, and bathroom a lot. I'm finally starting to eat food again, and am starting to regain my feeling of humanity.

EnergyChannel made delicious homemade...

Oh man, sleep schedule. You had better hurry up and regulate before Monday, because returning to work after three weeks off is going to SUCK.

I need a new profile picture. That one is a couple of years old. Maybe tomorrow I'll work on that.

It's important to have goals.

One day into 2009 and like many days on this holiday vacation, I have not left my flannel pajamas. I'm not sure if this is good or bad. I keep telling myself that it's okay to be a giant lump of slack this week, as work resumes on Monday, and along with it, my exercise routine. However, when my two biggest accomplishments this week so...

I decided to jump into the year 2005 with both feet and joined Facebook today. I am so cutting edge.

PORKCHOP SANDWICHES!

hahaha. I have a facebook I NEVER use. It's like, the way for people who were complete dicks to me, and wrote shitty things about me on locker walls back in high school, to try to friend-request me without speaking at all or apologizing first. Dig it.

We made it back safely, with no trouble on the roads until turning onto side streets in Portland. Our street is a slushy mess, but we lived through it!

Now comes the relaxing evening of couch-sitting and cat-petting. Unpacking will come later.

It is good to be home.

A safe journey in this weather is much to be appreciated. Welcome home.

Hmmm. Maybe we should have left yesterday when there was almost no snow on the ground. The problem was we are now driving down with my brother, who had to work yesterday. He lives in N. Portland, and now we're just waiting to see when he can get over here. I'll be happy if we can leave by 9:00. Checking the ODOT cameras is my...

I got to try out the studded tires in real weather yesterday, since my work was dumb and open. They performed pretty well, except for a tiny bit of spin when I was starting from a dead stop. Slow and steady worked well, even if assholes behind me were impatient. Hey buddy in the SUV with no traction devices, some of us don't want to...

happy winter! I'm glad you're getting snow up there. It means there is a chance that the drought will end.
bridgetwnpeddler:
keep an eye on I5 in northern cali and get some good information before you leave. It has been either closed or only open if you have chains and they run you through with an escort... so it could be REAL slow going.

Good luck and travel safe.

It's snowing! And sticking!

I'm so glad I got the studded tires put on already, and that I braved Costco yesterday instead of trying to go today. I'm such a good planner! Yay for me!

I wonder if I'll have tomorrow off from work? There are always advantages to working on a hill in a city scared of snow. Fingers crossed...
