So it's been over three weeks since my GP referred me for a vasectomy. I still haven't heard anything back. Today I see this on the cover of the Oxford Mail:
HEALTH CUTS: Vasectomies suspended as health bosses try to stop big overspend
Is this why I haven't heard anything? Or did I manage to sneak in just in time and it's just a very slow process for them to even just send me a letter telling me where things stand?
I mean, in practice it doesn't really make much difference; I don't see my current dry spell ending any time soon; it doesn't really matter whether my ejaculate contains sperm if it never goes anywhere near another human.
It just seemed like the responsible thing to do, just in case. And now it looks like it may not be an option.
But even if that is the case, I would prefer to know. If I can't have it done on the NHS (which really means I can't have it done at all, as I can't afford to go private) I would appreciate some sort of notification so that at least I know where I stand.
