I've been having a really good week. Work has been fairly easy with no major hassles. We've had the first bit of really good weather this year, which makes everything nicer.
Monday wasn't anything special, although having reasonably nice weather to cycle to and from Pilates was a nice change.
Dancing on Tuesday as usual. I've been a bit nervous about teaching the Shag class as I'm really not much more than a beginner myself but in the end it went well. Then the the social was good, too; my DJ set went well and I got to chat with [name redacted] quite a bit which is always a pleasure.
Wednesday I finally got confirmation of my next tattoo appointment next month. This will be the largest and most complex piece I've had so far; I'm really looking forward to it. Had lunch with my mother, which was nice. Then in the evening I enjoyed a picnic in the sun with some friends who I don't see that often. Was a really good evening.
Sneakily left work early on Thursday and hopped on the coach to London to see Savage Messiah at Underworld in Camden. A great show as usual; I've seen them supporting other bands before but this was the first I'd seen them as headliners. I was quite sore and stiff this morning from dancing around, headbanging and generally rocking out but it was totally worth it.
Off to Camden again tonight for the SG Blackheart Burlesque show. While it did nothing to quell my reservations about burlesque, it was still a cracking show that I really enjoyed. I wish I could check up exactly who was performing; a couple of the dancers I didn't recognise and I'd like to know who they were.
