I haven't been on this site for such a long time now BUT everytime I had problems or didn't know what to do you all were the best help I could ask for!!! So I try it now because I really don't know what to do. It's a decision concerning my career...

It sounds like the probationary time could be an opportunity to overcome the opinions of how you got the job. You could use that time to try and change that opinion and show your new coworkers that you're qualified and not there to steal anyone's job. If the difficulties can't be overcome, you seem to have a plan B. Congrats on the job(s) overall!

Don't about them, do what makes you happy, you must be good for the job or they would have never ask you about it! Sometimes everyone's hard work looks to other like something else, but just keep your head up and enjoy the fruits of your hard works!
