Do you remember the game telephone from primary school? Well, if the first writings didn't happen until well after his supposed life, I'm sure the stories were changed and twisted through time. I don't believe the story could have remained exactly the same especially when IQ's were lower than. @jaws318

I think the irony is that it might just be story  like Hercules or Wolverine and be nothing more then that.
